Some accessories prevent access to the fork gators. Otherwise this is a fairly standard way of checking for stiction. It is more sensitive than the bouncing while standing still, at least for most folks.

For me, this thread read like a suspense (pun intended) novel. After I read the opening post, I was on the edge of my seat wondering if and when someone would notice the statement about using 15wt oil in the fork. Oh, the joy of Boxerworks!

Jagarra, please report what happens when you change that fork oil. It will potentially help others.

15wt oil is what happens if you ask someone who rides a Jap-Crotch-rocket.
I had to search pretty hard to find some 5wt oil from my local shops.
