Mal, I have to put myself on the Very Doubtful List for Karuah. Too much on the plate at the moment, and it's coming up a bit too soon. Also, it's 900kms away, so extra days and dollars for me.
I am planning to get to the Cold Flame Rally at the Pinch River - March 7-9, 65kms south of Jindabyne on the Barry Way. The Knox Bros got there last year and recommend it. And it's only 300kms away.
ps: Your seat is progressing. Should be back with you before Karuah.

Cold flame rally? I like that name. If the forecast for Karuah is too grim I might try to get away to that. This baking heat does not make me want to go anywhere!!
btw No need to rush with the seat Charlie. I can always fold up a padded jacket, or put some leaves in a pillow case, or curl up some pool noodles, or cut some turf, or carve a shapely side of ham, and sit on that. For sure its all been done before.
cheers
Mal

O yes, Ken. Just give us a problem and you can stand back at a safe distance and marvel.
Most solutions to problems will involve fencing wire somewhere -- marital issues excepted.

BUMP!!!
I've been stupid busy finishing up at the mine and starting a new job and this thread has become buried but I still have one eye on the fast approaching Karuah River Rally.
No more takers?
My very sociable harley riding neighbour reckons he will come along but he has said that before.
I have picked out a route, through Mudgee - Rylstone and the highly topical Bylong Valley to Denman looks good.
The bike remains unmoved, unclean, un-serviced and unpacked.
But I still have this 40 degree C weekend coming up ...

I have been putting up with leaking fork oil for while on the RS. Replacing fork seals had no positive result.
Off with the forks today and took the stanchions in to be re-hard chromed. So it is to Karuah on the GSPD, not a bad choice though.
