Yeah? Then what?

Please note: Rob just said he's gotta find the goil. The "Then what?" does not apply here. He is into Geo-caching. He finds things for the sake of finding them. That is the sport. It does not need to be more than that. Rob is on another plane. No, not that kind of plane; the other kind.

Those carb clamps are whoppers! SS? They look flash.

The fuel filter however....not so flash. I'm wondering if the angled fuel tap was chosen deliberately to allow that filter set up, or whether the taps were there when you got the bike?

Here's a few bike pictures, to add to the thread.... exclusively of the R100RS.

Yeh Stainless.. What sort of fuel set up would you suggest?, these were on
the bike when I bought her. Re: RS Fairing. I'm considering an S Fairing and
I've heard they have a tendancy to lighten the front end at high speed, an inherent
fault which Bmw ironed out with the designing of the RS fairing. They appear to
highly rate the RS fairing, but you'd know that already. ;)
Nice photo collection you got there, Those R100RS s are growing on me!

The fuel tap on the /5 appears to be a few inches aft of the later /7 taps. I've never noticed that before.

That puts your tap directly above the carb, so that a straight fuel tap would offer a straighter, tidier look orienting the fuel hose vertically. Functionally, it's no big deal though as either way works.

The angled taps work well on the /7 tank as they allow the hose to be placed away from the carb cables.

It's a /7 tank, but the relative position of the taps is highlighted here...the blue dot is about where your tap is on the /5 tank. Vertical line on the /5 picture...

I'm not sure the R100RS would suit your climate very well.

Airbears bike. I took this and ran it through some photo editing. Love the age look to this now.
