Wowsers! the thought of that 90S front end contacting the ground again makes me feel squeemish!

Maybe he's still in wheelie mode since the photo as we speak.

Chrimny! I've had that jpeg on file for years. That a heck of a photo. Instead of the wheelie, maybe the bike is still flying out there, I hope, in the great beyond in one way or another.

I wouldn't worry too much about the landing, that thing has some serious bracing on the forks. Note: there is a second triple clamp below the stock location: http://vintagebmw.org/v7/node/8205

Our dear Joan brewed a batch of beer for Ken's Boxerworks Forum Rally a number of years ago. I made up and printed out a bunch of handout "Joan beer labels" just for grins. (her homemade beer was just WONDERFUL!)
Here's one jpeg I used from the web....

Did you end up making it to work or did you take the day and keep riding?

Yeah. made it to work, but it was close. A few miles after that, I came to a T junction where Right would get me to work in 7 miles, or Left would take me to a spot 30 miles up on Highway 36. Maybe this fall I'll call in a day or two mit Moto Flu.
