When you go to attach/upload an image, it says the limit per attachment is 2MiB which I guess is 2megabytes.

Probably. A lot of phone cameras shoot 4mb images. On my Google phone I can't select a smaller file. I download them and then reduce the file size, which does not require any special software.

Those smugmug functions used to work fine for me until they didn't any more. The links would post whole albums. I persevered but got nowhere and gave up.

Also pays to consider that there are pressure washers, and there are PRESSURE WASHERS! I use a pressure washer.

Are you selecting "link" or "embed"? Embed is the one to use.
