New stuff

My pressure plate and pressure ring look ok - at least according to Duane's web page. The Friction Disk was 5mm. The book says replace at 4.5 mm. The parts guy says my diaphram spring needs to be "at least" 19mm. Mine is a nice uniform 16mm.
So - I am shelling out $250 and getting a friction plate and a diaphram spring.
plus driveshaft bolts
There is no endplay (cold) on the transmission. The friction plate did feel "sticky" when sliding it on and off the transmission, but not too bad. The splines look uniform all the way to the back past the point where the disk rubs. The wear on the back of the pressure ring was minimal.
I would really like to have a smooth clutch.
I think even if the new diaphram spring is 3 or 4 mm taller than the old one, that I will still be able to start the bolts. I had no problem at all comming out. Everything was relaxed before I ran out of threads.
