It's time to start putting the R100GS back together after dropping a valve last summer.
Whoops! Did it do much damage, Curt?
The head was beat to death, both valves heads broke off, the piston has a golf ball size hole and the cylinder is scored. It looked very much like the damage the Veg's Bat Bike suffered.

I have purchased a set of nice heads, one "B" piston and cylinder off of E-Bay. I need to check the rod to for straightness, then put it back together.
Ouch! Did you get a motor full of shrapnel? Hope you were close to home when it gave up!

The Airhead Beemer Club has no forum. I like this place and look forward to meeting some of the folks here at the Boxerworks Forum rally in May.

While the Airheads may not have a forum, what we do have the Airlist which is delivers email digests daily to our email accounts. If you have questions, you simply submit them to the Airlist via emil and the members are free to reply via the emailed digest. It's fast, timely and some very, very knowledgeable people including Tom Cutter and Snowbum help with technical advice.

If you not an Airhead, you'll be glad to know that you don't even have to be an ABC member to participate!

Yes - I have subscribed to that list. Even with a daily digest, too much stuff not relevant to me. I check back in from time-to-time. I also stay in touch with the Air Marshall from Louisiana - heading there for a tech day in early April.
