Pretty neat design. Best part is that the clutch cable remains unaltered. Looks pretty easy to make, my concern is how is the free play maintained (kept from rattling) when the clutch is released. think the addition of a spring is needed?

Something to keep in mind...

The clutch cable is made of 1 X 19 wire, meaning 19 wires of 1 filament each - 1 center wire surrounded by 6 wires surrounded by 12 wires. This kind of wire is not meant to bend around pulleys. That kind of wire is 7 X 19 - 19 wires of 7 filaments each. Each filament is much finer in this type of wire, allowing it to bend easier without breaking filaments.

The answer from Craig at Bench Mark Works regarding fitting the Easy Clutch to later airheads...
Sorry but changes in the frame design which cut down the space available makes it impossible to use or fit on anything past 1983.
I'd still like to see if it could be done.

jagarra, the spring under the lever on the back of the trans will hold the slack out of the cable.
