It was delayed, but the deed is finally done. I like it. I only carry the top box when I want to stow my helmet somewhere.
One bag has the rain gear in it, and the other has my "tools" (flat fix kit) and a electric jacket liner, and a kickstand support.

My mileage keeps dropping!

Yes - it has a noticeable effect on handling. I am still learning to compensate - IOW, don't take slow turns too sportingly. It feels like the front end wants to turn in. I'm still trying to get to the rear shock to bump it up a notch.

Oh, and nothing ever became of that job, my beard is growing back and my hair is a mess.
