Jainism? Aren't they into self-control?
That implies self-denial.
I'm not likely to start experimenting with that sort of bizarre behaviour at this stage of life.

Self denial ? No , more about being selective about what you desire . ;)

Nup, same thing.

I am going to deny myself that.

I am going to decide I don't want that.

Semantics.

Personally, I think the person who tells themselves they are denying themselves is actually being far more honest with themselves, while the other is playing games with themselves. But, that's just me.

I don't deny myself anything I want but I also think about what I want, that thought process has been going on for a long time and it has become integral to me. Thus I don't need to deny myself.

I can't be denying myself things I don't want.

I don't mind if you can't see the point.

Nice lid zombie ... ill be looking for something similar.

Srz for rehighjacking zombie -

FWIW Ridercam - A good m8 owns a trucking business and is a semi regular at the Brisbane Docks. All too easy for him to bring it back to his property, unpack & prepare bikes, leave container there....
IMO - The BEST road ride in OZ is the original Pacific Highway ... Queensland boarder to Adeliade, return via central NSW - Magic !!! ...
... prepare and repack bikes & gear into US return bound container... presto !

There you go... that would be a nice 3-4 week pavement jog. I'll join you, Betsy might even click the 1Mk on that trip

After spending just 3 days in Sydney - I really becoming fond of Australia. The Pacific Highway sounds like the ride - Brisbane as home base would be terrific and three or four weeks of day of rest and motoring would make it nearly perfect.
