My very sociable harley riding neighbour reckons he will come along but he has said that before.

I have picked out a route, through Mudgee - Rylstone and the highly topical Bylong Valley to Denman looks good.
The bike remains unmoved, unclean, un-serviced and unpacked.

But I still have this 40 degree C weekend coming up ...

I wish you were closer , that's good country.

Not going to Karuah now. Had a big week at work and too much to do at home this weekend.
I will get out for a ride though, have to try out my newly upholstered seat, thanks Charlie!

Yep - either date - and the Cold Flame rally at the Pinch River (Barry Way) is just 4 weeks off now.

I plan to get to the Cold Flame and to the Alp run both.

Bylong Valley Way is a great ride!
But... Can you keep a lookout for my headlight ..reckon I lost it somewhere between Rhylstone and Bylong ...roundish looking ( well it was when I last saw it!) ,..shiney and had glass in it.must be somewhere there.

Didnt lose the taillight assembly though!.. That just hung on by the wiring loom and ended up wedged between the mudguard and ate the tread off my new back tire.

And i didnt lose my pannier either!.. that rested on the muffler when the bracket broke and melted its way through the pannier wall and my duck-down sleeping bag and a few other things..
But apart from that a great ride and great fun!!
If I could work out how to get pics into this thing, I'd show you the fencing wire fix to the headlight.. ME102 would be proud!!

Crikey Doug, I'd call that an adventure. And yes, pics or it didn't happen.

Posting pictures is also a little adventure. You need an account with a photo hosting website. I use PictureTrail, but there are others - Flickr, Photobucket, Picasa etc. Most are free and you sign up with a user name and password. Getting a picture to appear here involves uploading to the hosting site then copying and pasting the code provided by them into your post here. I have found it's best to resize the pic to around 800 pixels wide before uploading. Gimme a call if you have difficulties.

Charlie, how much does your Picture Trail account cost ? I use it's free service but it's very limited in storage and I'm tempted to actually pay !

Gidday Peter. Yes, I started paying for the Premium account which ups the limit to 100MB, costing US$39.95 per year. There are incremental yearly costs to up the storage limit further. Once you start posting links to your photos you are kind of stuck with maintaining the account. I started with PictureTrail in 2007, and posted a lot to WBF along the way. I could go and delete some to stay within the limit, but that history would be lost.

It gives info on which ones are free, what restrictions are imposed and costs for upgrading to premium or pro accounts. I note that Photobucket may be one of the best for long term free hosting.

My advice would be to leave PictureTrail as is while your account is still free and start a new account with another free provider. I'll be doing that when PT demands more money.

ps: Since it costs nothing to actually post a pic once it is stored, here's a bonus pic of Brunhilde and Mt Warning, taken the day after we left your place last October.
