A fair percentage of watchers are doing the internet equivalent of window shopping. I do it too sometimes. Or, I'm trying to get a feel for the value of something, but that's usually in the world of bicycles. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear about your troubles and that you need to hang up the helmet for a while. Let's hope and pray it's only for a short time. Some times life can be pretty ironic. You have all the time in the world to ride now, but you don't have the finances. I hope you get a good price for the bike.

It's leaving Monday for Cincinnati. Going to a couple who own a Honda, (forget which model, but a twin cylinder) and his wife hates it. Sounds like a real nice guy. We talked several times during the auction. He was trying to get up here to test ride it before the auction ended, but couldn't make it. (work & family obligations) This will be his first BMW. I really have mixed emotions about the whole deal. I'm extremely saddened by having to let go of something I dearly love, put so much time and effort into, and am so very proud of. But, the money will provide a much needed cushion as I try to salvage something out of the train wreck I created.

I've been wondering for quite a while about what I could write that would offer some consolation.
I guess the only positive things are the input of funds at a difficult time for you, and the knowledge that your bike has gone to a good home. If I was in your position I would try to focus on how happy that nice couple from Cincinnati are going to be when they discover what a real bargain they own. I hope the bike lives a long and happy life with them and you get the chance to ride and love another beauty very soon. All the best to you.

Seriously though, you have a lot of money ($20,000 ?) tied up in that Prius don't you?
You could have replaced it with a cheaper used car ($5000-$6000) and kept your bike, no?
I know you save a lot of gas money with the Prius, but a lot of other small cars get similar gas mileage, don't they?

It's a done deal, gspd. No sense in trying to re-design it. I guess I'm just not a "real biker."
