My favorite movie of all time. If you can't find the wisdom in that movie, it's wisdom you don't need.
And, yes, he's dreamin' fo sho.

So much for reassembly day!
I forgot what a PITA these front ends are to work on, especially when trying to fuss over doing everything just so. I even bothered to press a 0.5mm woof out of the mudguard 'brace'. ( I should stop reading all the advice on the internet or I will never ride again) Anyway, now it fits like that proverbial finger-in-the-bum ... not my own of course
So the brakes at last.
New seals and pistons went in easily with a smear of brake grease. A little too easy it seemed for one outer seal. I gently pushed the piston out a bit with compressed air to test, and sure enough the outer seal slipped off the caliper. Had to wash all the rubber grease off to get it to stick. Still not happy about that.
Wait... I can hear Jeff ... telling me to peen it in .....

Sure Pete, I will be Mick Doohan if I ever get this thing on the road again!
For anyone following this thread note this.
Motobins must have been listening to me complain about prices.
You can NOW get pattern caliper piston kits for 49 UK pounds (ex VAT). Part No.23000A
That's about $70 instead of the $120 I paid (x2) only a month ago.
I am going outside now to kick the dog.

On a more positive note, I have polished up and fitted a pair of alloy blinkers that I bought on ebay ten years back.
I have to decide if I like them or not, before I go buy some for the rear. Hmmm am I pimping my ride too much?

I don't know about that, but if you pull the skirts down on her fork legs she'll look more like a lady.

Her skirts come down ken when i am sure those fork seals ain't leaking. RHS has blown twice. You know what fork oil with 'seal swell' does to gaitors? Ya get pantaloons.

I was wondering if they were short longs or long shorts.
