I haven't seen this stuff before. Looks like the best crash protection. Too bad they can't incorporate water proof qualities into the shell material. But the fact that it is track approved makes me very interested in this gear.Garnet wrote:Not much of an actor, but he does have something to say:

I have the kevlar mesh jacket and pants by Motoport. The jacket is awesome and very comfortable, but the pants feel a bit bulky. They do zip together to form a suit. I purchased the waterproof liner for the pants; however, I wish I hadn't. I've never used it. I have waterproof overpants that I use instead.Zombie Master wrote:I haven't seen this stuff before. Re: Is this too much?
FYI I just had a long talk with the owner of Motosport. With the Motosport gear, I had previously thought that the Mesh jackets were for hot weather only, but now I know that the mesh doesn't absorb water at all, dries in minutes, stays light, and with the liner in it's weather proof. He told me the Klim is Chinese, not adequately stitched, and is not comparable with the Motosport gear. They have over 150 police departments ordering suits, and they are 3 months behind on those order. There are a lot of options, so I will have to study this and unfortunately, wait for 6 weeks min for delivery. But I think this is the best protection and hopefully, comfort available.

Which pant did you get? They have jeans that are stretch Kevlar on the back side of the legs. He says that's what the cops love, because they are wearing them all day long.Jeff in W.C. wrote:I have the kevlar mesh jacket and pants by Motoport. He must have just got off the phone after talking to me.Zombie Master wrote:FYI I just had a long talk with the owner of Motosport. He told me much the same thing about the stretch Kevlar, and that it blocks the wind about the same as denim jeans but breaths like a cotton t shirt. He said that you could ride a naked bike for 20ish minutes in the rain before needing the liner. He has customers with full faired bikes that never bother with the liner in the rain.
He also said that if I put down a deposit now, that would get me a spot in line. I would have a month to decide on exact the jacket, colors, options and sizing, AND if I changed my mind before production started, the deposit is refundable.
I'm very very tempted.

I am too! Thanx for this post! I like the warranty where if the gear is damaged and they can't repair it, they just replace it for free! The gear is about the same price as the Klim stuff and sounds much better.Garnet wrote:He must have just got off the phone after talking to me.Zombie Master wrote:FYI I just had a long talk with the owner of Motosport. Re: Is this too much?
Well I did it. Just put down a deposit at Motoport with a delivery date of aprox June 20th. Now I just have to decide on what exactly I want.
I'm feeling good about something like this: http://www.motoport.com/index.php?optio ... &Itemid=15 in Hi-Viz.
Lots of options to thinks about.
