Sorry, Major – Earlier that day,
an attempt to cut off my right hand with a piece of 16ga steel
was thwarted by all those bones that are in the wrist.
Attempts to self-medicate with a readily available general anesthetic –
meant consuming copious amounts of rather good beer.
I'm afraid that my usually poor judgement had been compromised even further.

This site would probably be quite boring if we all installed breathalyzers on our computers.

That's a biggun! (I underlined the juicy bit)

There would be a lot less work for you if it weren't for the Believers

There wouldn't be much of anything actually, if it weren't for the believers.

Seems to me that all 'adept' folk, started as believers.

Edited to add, I'm a believer, and I've done some unbelievable things to my RS!

I used to have to pick up a wrench and a screwdriver at the same time when I was working on the locknut type valve adjusters fitted to my old Guzzi Le Mans. These days I generally find that while I regularly use wrenches and screwdrivers it tends to be sequentially (occasionally I will use two wrenches simultaneously, but that doesn't seem to be the issue here).

Not sure if that makes me an Adept or a Believer, or maybe a lapsed Adept...

Not meaning to stray off topic :? , but when did tubless tires for motorcycles become available? My early bikes all had tubes, but there really weren't any other options. My newest bike has cast wheels and runs tubeless radials, but that idea wasn't even a concept when my airhead was built. I don't recall seeing tubeless tires for motorcycle use until the 80's, but I really wasn't looking.

Actually I think you're straying back onto the topic.
