Sorry you won't make it but it sounds like you are doing just fine with your wherewithal Pete.

Weekend forecast is 1-21C mostly sunny, and even better on Sunday

I haven't heard from She'llbe. Must be on the road already? Any other travellers out there?

Mi casa es su casa

cheers

Sorry Mal, you must not have received my email. I'm head down, bum up doing chores for the "cheese and kisses" as well as doubling up on shifts at the hospital to pay for my adventures. I'll probably be at your place around 4PM on friday. Thanks again for the space to crash.

I'm planning on getting there. My shifts have been sorted.

I need to do a couple of things to the bike..right head has a loud metallic sound (like exhaust leak), carb tune, change front wheel.

Last two easy. I'm heading to the shed now to take off the exhaust, the right rocker cover and check everything again. It all looked ok last week when I did the valves. The end float on the right exhaust rocker block was loose by a mm or two which I corrected, so I'm going to recheck that. Fixing it last week didn't change the noise.

I'm wondering if a bit of carbon is under the valve lip or if the headers aren't seating right or maybe the header compression ring hasn't closed properly?
