Amidst that last round of work I did a tidy up on the oem lower triple clamp. Grind down the square edge mold marks & a bit of a shine -
Fibre glass repairs are 95% done, I say that because im sure ill find that little something else ... after I found a lot something else -
No less than 14 areas required some sort of attention. I found 5 cracks that were all the way threw to the point of something else not far from breaking.
The insert on right lower fairing has been replaced. That same retaining lug on the left however was cracked threw requiring a delicate hand not to snap the whole lug off during grinding & sanding back prep.
'Dished out' on both sides I also drilled several holes all the way threw to allow the resin to create a sort of locking / binding pin to both sides.

Same process's for the other pieces, except the right side required several attempts to get a decent adhesion with no air bubbles in the main thickness....
Creating a new tab for centre lower fairing -
The swing arm should be ready to pick up this week reassembled with a new uni joint on the drive shaft.
Today I spent 6 hours cleaning & repairing my ultra modern painting booth in readiness for the body art work.
I dont have internal lights or heating so, again, this may take / have to wait a while for these late summers rains to dissipate.
Next step, 3 litres of molasses for the petrol tank !
Again, no mint or show room quality workmanship... but I continue to be very happy with what ive done so far.
