I'm out for this trip but I want to put a suggestion forward for future thought. What about a Tassie trip say for a week or so. Camping and the odd pub stay. BTW That sort of thing was a pipe dream for me previously but with my new single status the world is my oyster. Something to think about.

Spring/Summer/Autumn. Tassie is beautiful all seasons but for riding weather maybe a Feb/March/April. Must have a look at average rainfalls but I kinda like Autumn with the leaves turning etc.

Another successful hut adventure. Me, Charlie, Pete and Ken.
The chainsaw was an excellent addition to regular things taken on motorcycles, thanks Ken.
I wasn't going to take chances, so some insurance was packed onto my bike.
A typical high country night, outside blowing a gale with almost sleet. Inside a huge fire sorted that but man, was it a smokey chimney!

I think my brother Ken left all his underwear at home in order to throw a chainsaw on the back of his 1150 GS.
Five minutes and we had enough 6" diametre firewood to keep a big fire going all night.
However Ken was unable to take a dinner jacket and slippers like I did. Oh well.
Pete (Ducati pete) is chillin by the fire. He rode his 79? RS
Charlie and Pete are out for an extra night. They planned to go to the Geehi hut, which we rode to in the snow last winter.
General feeling for our 10-11 May hut run is to now go to Geehi hut.
Cabramurra hut pictured above is a great little hut but.........We won't all fit in.
Although there is an enormous amount of firewood at the Cabramurra hut, the chimney draws like crap and the smoke situation is rather intense until a mother fire is going.
Mind you, on a still night, the chimney would draw well.

Is that a bandy bandy snake holding your firewood on? How's your lower back?

Hmm you can smell that smoke!
Geehi Hut sounds good. I will though make an effort to come by Cabramurra this time. Perhaps collect some of that wood? I dont have a chainsaw, or even a chain ...
I have got the Friday off work though!
