Ear, for a two into one.
Ears, for a twin.

I had pretty good results tuning multiple carburetors many years ago with one of these:

That was very popular at the track in the 70's. We used them on snowmobiles. Has the advantage of being very quick, especially on the open velocity stacks we were running then. It wouldn't be as effective when you are attaching air tubes to an air box after you're done, but probably still better than the ears of most inexperienced owners.

Does anybody have a good method for removing the old rubber on the foot pegs?
The reassembly is going well, I hope to fire her up next weekend!

If you are trying to save the rubber, support it in a vice and beat the mount down though with a suitable drift (a long extension works well)

Nah, they are going into the trash. I was considering dropping them in boiling water, then attempting to use a bearing puller on them. I guess I could also put the grinder on them and just chew through all that rubber :/

I would use a brand new blade in my box opener.

Yep, like Rob says, just cut them off. They aren't glued on or anything...

So, I was replacing all the gaskets in the carbs today, and one of the main jets was pretty clogged. I went ahead and removed it, but the spring under it bound and got kinda bent out of shape.
I don't even see this part in the diagrams, does anybody have a lead on these?
