Yep, frying pans don't kill people - people kill people - sometimes with frying pans.Major Softie wrote:They'll take my frying pan when they pry it from my cold dead hands.
They ain't getting this little beauty -
It is ceramic coated, 250mm diameter, thick base, and the handle detaches with the click of a button.
Nothin' sticks to it. One of the finest camp kitchen tools in the universe.
Of course, I needed to 'accessorise' it.
I cut down a plastic 'egg-lifter' tool, and re-shaped its leading edge. To the excess part of the handle I bolted a rare earth magnet. Another magnet goes inside one of my 240mm stainless steel dishes. This gives me a secure handle for this perfectly fitting lid. Good tools make all the difference.

Charlie, you may be fond of that pan but I can assure you it's not a weapons grade frying pan. I guess you could get charged with assault with a handy weapon, though.

Never forget the lemon when freshly caught dead fish is on the menu. Or the butter, cold beer and warm whuskey.ME 109 wrote:Chuey wrote:Charlie, you may be fond of that pan but I can assure you it's not a weapons grade frying pan. And in this case, a Dutch Cream potato roasted in the coals and a rasher of bacon for good measure. Mmmm, deadly.

That is a beautiful plate of food! I love bacon. I rarely eat it. But I find it a very powerful flavor. Trout are very delicate in flavor. I can't understand why you would put the two together. I also have the same issue with scallops wrapped with bacon. There is no way to taste the scallop with bacon wrapped around it. But that's just my opinion. Bloody good thing Charlie wasn't eating a scallop then.PITAPan wrote:Exactly.Zombie Master wrote: There is no way to taste the scallop with bacon wrapped around it./sn
And as the trout wasn't 'wrapped' in bacon, all should have been good.
And when motorcycle camping, food has to be eaten or it gets tossed.
