This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Hey Mal, I'll be there, but you already know that. I've had a shitty day performing miracles at the local hospital. I can't wait for saturday morning and a fun run through the dividing range!!!!!!!!!! Working in detox tomorrow, very easy miracles to perform. Bring a steak for dinner, undercover barbie provided. Mexicans can come too.

Gday Shell'be, Ross, Bob,

Looking forward to seeing yer.

I am riding from Dubbo and have some choice but will prob travel through Gunnedah and Bingara. Want to see my brother in Tingha, that about 40 minutes North-West of Guyra.

6 hour run and them some so will be hanging for that steak and beer and glass of red.

Its thunderstorms here right now. The air had best wring itself out soon.

alright Mexicans, how are we feeling?

Honestly, I too am not all that exited about riding up in, camping in, and then riding back down in, the rain...
a little bit here and there, well that is fine- but for a one-night-away weekender the weather currently foretasted for both Sat and Sun is not very appealing to me.

Riding in the rain, not something I particularly enjoy, but OK. Camping in the rain, a lot less fun. Riding back in the rain after camping in the rain, and then having to clean and dry out all the gear, all in one short weekend... mmm...
I was hoping to camp pretty light this time, just to make the whole thing a bit easier, less time and energy consuming, and more relaxing. Swag on the back, tarp, chair and booze, steak for dinner and something simple for breaky...
Gearing up for serious rain would take a bit more preparation, and the whole weekend project might just cross me over the line of relaxing and rewarding- to tough and tiring. I am a bit worn down and fatigued at the moment as it is to sign up for a tough and tiring weekend...
excuses excuses, I know.
So, I am sorta sitting on the fence, and slowly starting to lean over to the 'not going' side.

I'm not decided yet, but they are my current thoughts. Damn weather. I was really looking forward to it.
Hows everyone else feeling?

Hell ! I'm wimping out to the extent of driving the yellow Merc and it's not even raining !

Rain is no fun .... it got me thinking today about a set of wrap around covers to Velcro over the grips to keep my gloves dry ,they would be good in winter too ,but in the rain ,just brilliant .

Gidday blokes, I'm going to bail out on this mission.
I share the sentiments re the weather, not to mention a kid on the back as well as the rain.
I have also found myself with more stuff to do than I can poke a stick at and no time to do it.

Ride safe you Boxerworks Rallyers.

Yep, sounds like it would be better to pull out of this one. Brunhilde is still not ready and it'll be a close thing to get her finished in time. It's always tricky in Victoria at this time of the year. Perhaps we could keep an eye on the weather and make a decision one Wednesday to meet for the approaching weekend - just do a phone around.
I'll contact Doug and Pete about the cancellation.
The northern cousins had better do a bit of toasting on our behalf and post some good pictures. Ride carefully, gents

I'll be unlikely to see the Guyra mob.

Sibbo, I'm staying with Larks on Saturday night.... the lure of the Glendronach did it... plus I've got no idea when we'll get to Brisbane - and I need to make sure the bike's OK.

My current thinking is to wander past Gary's place at Uki on Sunday (perhaps via Dunc's) and head for Ebor - I'm assuming the pub has accom. I'm thinking of dropping down to the coast direct from Ebor to Bowraville, overnight at Collombatti, then head south through the Werrikimbe Wilderness.... home Tues night. Sound like a plan? Of course my 7:00am meeting in town with a client tomorrow may be the fly in the ointment.

I'll keep an eye out for the yellow Merc. Pull over if you see a Katoom flash you.
