The first thing I do on any bike is replace OEM with NGK caps.---RG

I've been running the OEM 5K plug caps on my /7 since new. Nary a problem!!

I have used NGK caps on the last 3 airheads I've owned. They are very good replacement.

When you put on the NGK caps, do you replace the leads as well?

For sure.
I consider wires and caps to be consumables. Not quite as bad as OEM cloth fuel line, but every once in awhile.
Mikes XS was my regular go-to guy.
I like the caps that grip the threaded stud on the spark plug.
