stripped cylinder stud

... and it's the left side top left (front) stud that provides the added complication of the oil passageway! A couple of years ago I did the right side cylinder so I kinda know what's what. That time on the right side, I did the drilling freehand. This time, on the left side with the oil passageway, I'd feel more comfortable using a "BMW Stud Tool Kit." I'm located in Uxbridge (north of Toronto) Canada. Is it possible to rent such a tool? Thanks in advance!

Snowbum discusses tools at the bottom of this page:

Not sure about renting something unless you're close to other Airhead owners/club and people can get together to share the costs.

I think Cycleworks sell a jig for the studs, not sure about an oilway drilling guide tho.
The jig is important to have. Some folk talk of doing it freehand, but that is just asking for trouble imo.
Drilling the oilway hole freehand sounds scary but I've not read of people having too much trouble.
Former Boxerworks member GSPD recommended 'time sert' for this repair.
