Hey y'all,

Ran into an engine issue with my 95' R100 RT. The engine won't start, and a couple of times I have tried and it backfired.

Gas is good, terminals are clean and secure, choke and throttle work, and I have spark on both heads, but could probably stand getting new plugs.

Any hunches before I take it to the shop for compression testing?

Have you checked that the timing hasn't slipped?

You say 'Gas is good' by which I take it you mean there is fuel at the plugs... Could there be too much fuel/too litle?... are the chokes sticking on? is the float level OK?

What led up to the failure... were there any other symptoms or would it just not start one day?

Sounds like ignition/timing to me.
