Who is Perch Wedge?
Does anyone have two perch (grip) wedges for my '71 /5? The handlebar controls are twisting or moving on the bars. Previous owner had the wrong bars on that may have sprung my controls out of shape.

$10.95 each at BMW and Boxer Two Valves. Plus postage. I would think someone would have made up a batch at some point.
PM me and we'll work it out.

Kinda worth their weight in gold when you need one, eh! Vech has some listed on his website for not that much cheaper.

32 72 2 072 223--wedge for Magura throttle and clutch perch R26-R69S /5

BMW Hucky lists them but they cost more.

You're in Ohio...what about a place like Repsycle?

C'mon guys, they are just itty-bitty triangular prisms you could make from scrap aluminium in ten minutes with a hacksaw and files.

Mine are carved from redgum, a hard and dense Australian hardwood, because I like to play with wood.

Charlie nailed it. I have made them from whatever scrap or bolt laying around with a file and hacksaw.
Nobody seems to be able to actually make things any more. Why spend an hour of your life and 20+ dollars
going to the nearest dealer or two+ days waiting for one when you can just make one?

Kind of what I was thinking. If you machined a long rod into the basic shape you could cut pieces off like slices of bread. I figured one of you guys had a drawer full.

I'll make my own. For less than $22 a set. Thanks.

(Rant: Shipping two perch wedges in a regular envelope would cost regular letter postage. Do you think any supplier would send it that way? Or a UPS truck!) Airhead #6486
