Stuck

1984 R100 drum brake snowflake wheels.

I'm trying to remove my rear wheel. It had metric sized tires a long time ago which are larger.

I cant get the clearance to remove the wheel. It's caught on the rear shock (nut removed) and the drum brake pad on the other side.

Tire is old and hard. It's on a full length lift. I've removed the cut out on the base of the lift under the rear tire area to allow it to drop down.

Not sure what my next move would be.

Any thoughts? Thanx!

did you let out the air in the tire?

If deflating it doesn't work, and you're scrapping the tire anyway, strategically narrow it a bit with a Sawzall or angle grinder.

I got it off. Used one of those thin plastic cutting boards to help it slide. Now I'm wrestling with the front which has a fork brace interfering. PIA Most modifications are a mistake IMO!

I've used thin pieces of cardboard...but thin cutting boards also sounds like a good idea! :)
