Toaster Tan top triple clamp

Am planning on pulling the front forks out of my bike again to flush out the fork oil (too heavy) and re fill with OEM BMW oil, and was thinking of the Toaster Tan top clamp to replace the OEM unit.
Question is has anyone here done this and is it really worth the effort and expense?

From what I've read, it's a good upgrade. Snowbum has several mentions on this page.

What issues do you have with the old fork brace? In general use, these do a pretty good job provided that they aren't worn. IMO aftermarket yokes (triple trees) and braces are just expensive eye candy unless you are doing serious racing or track work.

Two of my bikes have equivalent top triples but I don't have much back to back experience to compare and there are other variables as they also have tubular steel fender mounts/fork braces.
I doubt I ride hard enough for it to make a difference.

None really Rob that's why I asked the question is it worth the upgrade if you can call it that, you read things and people say oh it's a massive change and so on but as you say it depends on normal use or hard riding.

If you're doing the front end anyhow, the effort involved is neglible.
What do they cost these days? I bought one early on. From memory...an introductory price and the exchange back then was very favourable.
Do they make a difference? I have no way to quantify that. It's a very nice piece of kit and if there is any wear or flex issue with the oem plate then it'll certainly correct it. Once again, how to measure? My bike handles very well. It always has though.
Priority wise, fresh front springs, better shocks then maybe the bling?

Something north of $300 AUD if you apply the current exchange rate, plus any post, packaging and customs tarrif. Of course, that's buying direct from the manufacturer... If you have a local supplier, it may be less (or more I suppose).

It was much cheaper than that. We have import gst now, but not back then. The exchange was very favourable and was part reason why I bought it.

Well the Kiwi $ is in the gutter at the moment with this new Government so it looks for the moment I will park that idea, still can't complain forecast for 18 deg on Friday and it's winter good day for a ride to wherever.

My humblest apologies... don't know why but I had as being in OZ... Should have looked harder at the uisername I suppose... or nindee the sugnature. Not that it makes a great deal of difference as far as this thread goes.
18 degrees in the winter... blimey it's early summer here and we're only get 13 degrees today... and I see that as comfortable warm.
