Porto on Two Wheels: Tips Needed

Hey everyone! I've got this wild idea to spend a couple of weeks cruising around Porto on a rented motorcycle next summer. Anyone here tackled Portugal on two wheels before? I'm dying for some insider tips! I'm wondering what the traffic's like in Porto - is it a nightmare or not too bad? And are there any routes I absolutely shouldn't miss? Oh, and if anyone knows a trustworthy place to rent from, I'm all ears. Parking's always a hassle in cities - what's the situation like there? I keep hearing about how gorgeous the coast is, but there's a lot of coastline, you know? Which bits should I aim for? Cheers!

Porto’s traffic is a bit hectic, especially during rush hours, but it’s manageable on a motorcycle. You can ride along the Douro River and check out the coastal road to Matosinhos. As for rentals, I've heard good things about companies like "Moto Rent Porto" and "Porto Motorcycle Rentals. Don't miss the coast around Costa Nova and the beaches near Aveiro.

Thanks for the tips, @boxden! Porto's traffic sounds like it could be a bit challenging, but it's good to know that it's manageable on a motorcycle. I'll make sure to keep that in mind during rush hours. Riding along the Douro River and the coastal road to Matosinhos sounds like a great idea. I'm also glad to hear about rental companies like "Moto Rent Porto" and "Porto Motorcycle Rentals". I'll definitely check them out. As for the coast, I appreciate the suggestion to visit the area around Costa Nova and the nearby beaches in Aveiro. All these tips have made me even more excited for my upcoming trip to Portugal! Hi, @Rob! I've heard that sometimes people from the U.S. may receive a negative reputation in other countries, but I hope that Portuguese people are friendly and welcoming to visitors like me
