R1200RT clutch bite point moves out

Hi all. Sorry I’m new to forums in general so I may be putting this in the wrong place or asking a question that has been answered elsewhere.
I have a 2014 R1200RT with about 25k on the clock I have noticed that the clutch bite point moves out to near the end of lever travel once the bike after riding for about 10 minutes.
It doesn’t leave a lot of movement for feathering/riding clutch when pulling away or turn in the road etc.
Has anyone else had this as no where I’ve been seems to have any idea.
A friend has suggested getting the clutch oil changed as it is potentially 10 years old and may be getting too thin when warmed up.
Thanks in advance for your help.
