In response to numerous emails I’ve received...

Top 10 reasons I haven’t been around much.

10) Madly in love with Neko Case.
She won't respond to my emails, but I know she wants me.

9) Dog died (10 years ago).

8) Won 1st prize (‘90s) at a vintage bike meet. (Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group Montreal Rally).


7) A cutie told me I was too old.

6) Starting manopause.

5) Self-conscious about wearing prescription glasses for the first time.

4) Can see everything way too clearly now.

3) Started adjusting speed (slower) to save gas on long rides.
I still speed all the time, I just don't overspeed as much.

2) Bike running IMPECCABLY since last flip.
Rapidly approaching 00000 kms again (and looking it).

1) Boxerworks is no longer feels like a grassroots airhead website.
It feels more like a typical “Official BMW Store” website now.
I’ll surely adjust to it with time.

I figure some of the reason Boxerworks feels a little less lively is that a few of the more flamboyant posters have drifted off or have toned it down a lot. There was dissatisfaction expressed about the heated discussions, even on Speakeasy. I thought it was just getting good. In other words, the discussions/arguments, especially when they were actually respectful, livened up the place.

So here goes...........gspd..............it's clear that you don't ride that bike of yours. Very pretty, but once again, we've never seen a picture of you riding (or flipping) it.

And.........oil........tires.........tubeless on snowflakes.........wheel bearings........religion.......politics.......liberal........conservative...........Fox News........c'mon. We can get the spirit back. Choose your topic. Oops, forgot guns.
