Quite clever, but it will be very slow to use. I guess one could draw the nuts down with a power driver.

That's a good idea. It's like the Ed Korn tool but without the worry of scratching the spring covers. I used felt furniture pads on mine. The tools are a little slow but work great for the guy in his garage.
