As posted,
original condition. runs and drives good. needs fine tuning. 44,222 miles. current title, and tags

So were there white frames available on /5? Not trying to piss on the seller, just curious. It's a neat look, like the white /2s I've seen.

I do not remeber any /5s on the showroom floor with white frames. But we had a very small dealer that only sold a few, and I was a teenager at that time and spent all my time at the Kawasaki end of the showroom.

I like the look too.
Obviously, if it was part of some fleet sale, it could be almost anything. Don't remember any police buying R60's, but, you never know.

I have never seen one. When I toured the factory it was production day for the European market. All colors were coming through, unlike what it would look like for a USA day. The bikes were outfitted with all accessories ordered at the time of sale. The production line was a rainbow of color.

Did you see any paint color other than black on a frame ?
Seems I remember that the long frame bikes could be "special ordered" in any (mono) color –
and that the frame was painted to match.
Was this also true for the Euro /5 ?

I seem to remember the German Highway Patrol bikes had white frames in 1973, but that memory is now 38 years old...

Yes - they did come, in Europe, by special order of the Police paint job, and only if you promised to remove the bike from the country.
I know this by coincidence ... having been stopped yesterday while running an errand by a fellow who admired my R100T and who turned out to have bought HIS R75/5 the same year (1972) I bought mine in Germany. He described his in detail, and told how he'd got the white frame and white tank. Fun coincidence ... sadly he sold his, I still have mine (but it is black).

All frames were black, but they were all for private owners, as no two were alike.
John answered the question well.
Also, if some agency/group ordered a quantity, they could get gold plated frames. They just had to pay.

It's back! And now at $2800.
It may have gotten serviced by my local Airhead guy (how many white/white R60/5s could there be?), and if so, it looks to be worth it.
