Time to say thank you

Post by Chuey »

The project bike that is on my workstand right now has working brakes thanks to Boxerworks. With all new SS brake lines and a completely dry and empty brake system, I was able to fill it and bleed it in about an hour. I used a syringe and squeezed steady and slowly to fill the system from the bleed nipples at the calipers. Also, the junction under the tank was un-strapped so it could be tilted to let air bubbles out. I couldn't remember which way to tilt it so I tilted it both ways!

Anyway, after filling it and then strapping the lever as if it was being pulled overnight, it had a good firm lever feel.

All this is due to reading I have done here at Boxerworks. Of course, many other operations on the bike have been helped by things written here. The brake thing is more significant because brake fluid work has seemed so difficult for me in the past.

Thanks again.
