Leg shields and hand guards...

I was recently awarded a research grant that will be used to travel the country studying urban farming practices. Going to be a 10k trip on a R60 and a R90.
I know the leg shields are Heinrich, but looking for leads to USA providers, or possible anyone who would loan them for this ironbutt trip. And a big appreciation to Rob Valdez for his online presence about these...you still on here Valdez?
And curious what the maker is of these guards...
And where they can be found.
If any of you are interested, also, in this trip, I am planning to invite riders to come hop on the route any time along, and devising a way to raise funds and awareness for some of these great urban ag community centers around the country. They are rehabilitating alot of the people and places that have been abandoned by big corps.
Peace everyone, and safe riding always!
Eric

Those lowers and hand sheilds come from Thetford Jekkel in Germany. I am sure I've spelled his name wrong as I can't find him on the interweb. He bought up most of the Hienrich tooling when they shut down in the 70s.
Hopefully someone (Rob) will come along with a link, but you will need to translate as his site is in German only.

Theofried Jeckle
http://www.jeckel-motorradzubehoer.de/ is the manufacturer of Heinrich products these days, and stubbornly refuses to do business with North America.
Your best bet is German eBay, and try and persuade the seller (in English) to ship to you.
I'm pretty sure the hand guards in Dover White are Heinrich, not so sure about the black ones.
Sorry about deleting your original thread. I was trying to move it up to the main body and messed up.
I don't know why that "New Topic" button is down at the bottom of this section. It shouldn't be there, as far as I'm concerned.

I found an old 2002 Jeckel paper catalog and both the hand gaurds (Heinrich) and the mirors (Krauser) are in there and can be used together.
The handgaurds in primer = 65E, with BMW Stanartfarben lakiert = 109E.
No price on the Krauser Spiegeln (mirors).

Thanks guys!
Is the catalog you found, Garnet, online PDF?
Something that can be linked or emailed?
65E is 65 Euro?
Do you see price for a 10 gal Heinrich, or volume thereabouts?
Or for the leg shields? In primer...
Will keep an eye on eBay Germany, thanks for that tip.
Will also have to see if there are German friends in the network.
If it is possible to place an order direct, and you guys are wanting, maybe we can do it together and keep shipping down. Will use this thread to keep you posted!
Will also post a more detailed thread about the summer ride in the appropriate section.
Safe riding, peace...
Eric

And yeah...the "new topic" created a thread as a standalone outside of everything.
Odd little button.

"Is the catalog you found, Garnet, online PDF?"
It was given to me by a friend and I have not found it online.
"65E is 65 Euro?"
Yes, in 2002 Euros.

Tanks where around 1000E, not sure about R65 availability.
I'll have to look up leg shields..... 200E I think, but can't remeber.

There are a couple of folks located in Germany registered on the R65 forum. One of them is Wilfried. I sent him a package just a few weeks ago.
