Back 60 years ago we had those oil soaked air filters. Now we have the micro pore type paper filters by every manufacturer of road vehicles. Why? Because they filter.

We used to be able to get the stock air filters for less than half from another distributor. Of course that was nearly 100 years ago. I would do a Google search. I would be very careful with this "going cheap" thing. Sometimes (often) one gets what one pays for.

I like Huckys too, but some of his stuff is aftermarket and some of his prices for OEM are way higher than MaxBMW. It pays to shop around and compare prices.

His service is great, indeed.

But for OEM parts, one can't beat Chicago's 20% off list. But phone in your order for fastest service. And while their H-D store is open on Mondays, BMW is closed - despite what it says on their website.
