throttle responce
throttle responce
I just finished installing rebuilt heads and new rings on my 78 R100/7. All seams to have went well. Now I have what I will call slow throttle responce. When I roll on the gas there is practically no responce untill about 4k on the tach. I know many things may cause this but where do I start? Some one mentioned jetting?

Re: throttle responce
How is the compression after this job?
Jetting would be the last place to look. I would adjust the carbs and expect the idle air to have no reaction.
Also, far less likely, but I would check the ignition advance curve. While it sat, it is possible that the ATU got stuck.
