Got this reply from HJC -
"Rain X is safe to use only on the outside of the shield not in the inside."

So, what do they mean suggesting it isn't safe?

Will it blow up???

I just asked if I could use it on the visor to shed rain. I was wondering if it would damage the acrylic.
Maybe that was a company lawyer answering my e-mail.

Ask if the Rain-X anti-fog stuff is ok to use on the visor.
I'm guessing they'll say ""Rain X anti-fog is safe to use only on the inside of the shield not in the outside."

Nothing is safe. Ever.

Edit: That was the Chuey lawyers responding.

I've tried Rain-X. It just makes the water droplets stay on the shield. I found it distracting. Am I missing something?

I thought it was supposed to help shed the rain.
Pledge works some, maybe I will stick with it.

It makes the water bead up, thus "theoretically" making it clear off the shield faster/better. My own experience was similar to ZM's, plus it didn't leave my shield (or windshield) as perfectly clean for dry driving.

I've used rainex quite a few times over the years, inside and outside the visor.
It does leave the visor a little less clear but it has done the job of getting the water off.
Re-applying daily is best if yer in shit weather.
When I used it on the outside only, the water would bead and fly off but it would also blow up a little on the inside with the visor open just a tad.
Applying it to the inside as well allows me to move my head to where needed, blowing it out from the inside.

I have found it to be better than not having it.

Major and ZM, you need to be moving for the water to blow off. :P

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Are you saying I wasn't supposed to just sit in the rain for hours in my driveway complaining about the Rain-X?
