I know a fellow with a final drive he'd like to sell.
He's unsure how to accurately describe the spline wear. I have given him my opinion.
Now I'm after yours. Compare to the hansen's one ready to reinstall.

The teeth and their gaps should be equal in width. Those gaps look to be at least 6 times the width of the tooth tip. If you added half the gap width to the tooth tip they would be more or less equal. Therefore 3/4 of the tooth is worn away. 75% worn, 25% left. But I'd toss it or renew.

Ya, cause 25% tooth left is not 25% life left. There will still be tooth left at the moment when the whole thing fails.
I voted 80% worn. That means that it only has 20% to go before failure is likely. However, the teeth are 50% worn. As Rob said, what do you want to know.
In any case, it is time to start planning on sending it in, or replacing it.
Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.
