RESOLVED - Retire a user name?

It has been brought up in another area here that it might be nice to prevent anybody from registering the username 'Airhead,' in honour of the last user of that name, who was beloved by us all and passed away two years ago. Is such action even technically possible?
Matt, Kelley, what say you?

And of course, you would need the cooperation of the current "airhead" who registered on 25 August.

Actually, no you wouldn't, but it certainly would be nicer to ask.

If I wasn't in a rush out the door now, I'd sent a head's up about this to Web Mistress about doing this. The newbie poster with the name can be sent a message about re-registering. Rob, you around to do this?
Yeah, this retiring Airhead is a great idea, and honor.

I'd send a head's up about this to Web Mistress about doing this.
That is what this thread is for.

It will take a while, but I think we will get used to this more intricate web that the mistress Kelley has woven.

I would, but I am really uncomfortable asking people for things, and telling them what they can and can't do.
At least when it comes to names.

I had already sent him an email about it. He says he understood perfectly and has already re-registered.
