I haven't lost my key  I've had one key fer about 18 years.

A while ago someone posted how to hot wire AND have working instruments and lights etc.
I think it involved the brake light or the auxiliary outlet?

Anyone remember?

I don't want to power my flux capacitor Ross, just start the bike.............when I do lose my key.
Easy enough to just power the coils from the battery but there is a way to give power to just about all electrics, starter motor included.
Scratch my head, was it battery positive to brake light positive??
Battery positive to aux positive??

Scratch scratch scratch

Thanks Steve! Nothing wrong with my memory, son of a gun! :P
I shall make a little hot wire before heading into the outback in 3 weeks.

You could always do the 'permanent fix' with a bit of epoxy, Jeff.

Of course, Ross. You'd never lose it then. I took the key out of my bike once. Came back to it, put all the gear on, went to start - no key. Had to take the gloves off and go searching the pockets. That's a few seconds I'll never get back. I learnt my lesson.

I thought that's what you meant Charlie, but I thought I'd let Ross ask first.
