A neighbor has a 2003 R1200Cl for sale. He said he would sell to me for whatever current "low book" is.It has 29k miles,no KNOWN problems, and is in nice shape.
I have 42 years on airheads, the wife thinks the CL would be a good idea.I need suggestions and input. Please.Thank You.

Generally considered the ugliest thing BMW has ever built. This opinion is shared by both the cruiser crowd, who see it as a design "miss," and by the BMW crowd, who see it as simply senseless. Other than that, I know of no problems with it. The few people who like them, like them just fine and have no problems with them. I've known more women who like them - because of the lower seat.
So, if you don't find the thing painful to look at, don't give a sh!t what other people think (a perfectly reasonable position), and it's a good price: go for it.

I fixed your quote for you! (no need to thank me
)
They have harness issues with the radio, and the radio itself, alarm issues, A pain in the ass to put a clutch in , Ride like shit over ..say 60mph, have something like 12 hp.....
I hated working on the cl, whatever you need to get at is hidden behind some plastic, or wired in such a way that you must disassemble the bike.
and the side stands break off!
But hey, whatever floats your boat ( or in this case barge)

Personally, I wouldn't be caught dead on a R1200CL. Can you say "fugly"?
Nonetheless, if the price is right, what the hell, go for it. Might be a tough sell when the time comes though.
