LED brake globe no work for brake...

Post by Ross »

I bought a LED brake globe. It will not work when the brake is applied. Works when fitted to the tail light socket though. So it is not the globe.

All the connections work because the standard globe will work when it is put back in the brake light socket.

I can't work it out. Anyone got any ideas????

I once heard about a constipated mathematician, he worked it out with a pencil.

Check the bottom of each globe (bulb)
You may find one has two contacts, and the other has one contact?

They match each other. I have pushed the bits that make contact on the globe and still nothing. hhhmmmmm

Have you tried it in your front brake light?

Thats what I have done wrong. I didn't try the front one. Then again my front brake light only works when the bike is in reverse gear.

DUH.
I think the thing must be faulty.
(Does it say "Made in China" ?)
I have a couple of the LED bulbs, and they work OK...
So, yours must be the "One that got away" while the QC was in the loo.

The globe works Jean...
It will not work when the brake is applied. Works when fitted to the tail light socket though. So it is not the globe.
I will play around with the fitting itself and see if it is not making contact with the globe.

Is "loo" a Chinese word?

Fixed. The tab for the earth was not making contact with the globe. It is now after attacking it with long nose pliers. The volt needle hardly moves now when I use the brakes.
