About 40 years ago, I'm sure I heard about someone converting a BMW flat twin into a V-twin. (New crankcases etc) It may well have been the earlier R60, which would be more obvious because of the pushrods.
Is this a figment of my imagination, or did it actually happen..?
And no, I'm not planning it.
(This bumped back into memory while I was reading about the RE Musket.)
Edit: btw this was when I lived in Australia, so it probably was an Australian project.
New to the forum, but returning BMW owner. (R75/5 1970, R75/7 1977, to K1 in 1989). Not new to making, fixing, or modifying stuff in metal or plastic. Don't need to be taught how to suck eggs, but if you've got a new way, I'm interested
