I fitted a MAC sump today and it fouls the Centerstand JUST SLIGHTLY! (out of 8 fins 3 of them show that they have hit the stand), it appears to me that the stand hits the sump and it's stops at the same-time.

The bike is in the shop all buttoned-up but with no oil in it (I'm giving the Loctite and the Hylomar some time to set-up).

My plan is to put a sanding disc on my Dremel and lightly take off some fin until I see no more evidence of contact.

Does this sound reasonable to you?

Yes.

But, if it is only hitting on one side, some washer change/switch/adjustment might also take care of it. Also, if it's hitting just as it hits the rubber stop, how worn is that stop?

The bolts, nuts, washers, springs and stop are all new, the Centerstand is one of the modified, wide units.

I probably do not even need to worry about it but I'm the kinda-guy that the little-bit of contact will bother!

I saw on Facebook another guy had same problem, he grinded the touching fins
just enough to fix contact.
What is the advantage of installing a MAC SUMP?, Cooler running?
