It's Alive (again)

Today after a two riding season of being apart in the corner of the garage I finished putting back together my 92 BMW R100GS and took it for a short ride.

I had a bit a problems starting the bike, running on one cylinder, found no gas in the right carb, float hung up. Got the float free and gas flowing. Bike then started like it had been ran an hour ago. No weird noises from the engine.

4 of 4 motorcycles running at the same time is a first for me:) Tomorrows forecast is for a mixture of rain and snow, hope to get in a short ride before it begins.

Good deal, Curt. Hope this is the last time you'll need to open up a engine.
Here's the beast at Ken's forum rally May of 07. Think you were having a bit of a
leaky seal problem....

Good work Curt. I only have three bikes and I can't think of the last time they all ran at the same time.

I had the rods checked for straightness, magafluxed, the rods where straight with no cracks.
I had new small end bushing pressed in, lapped to fit my wrist pins and installed new bearing.
