Hello. Will the R50/2 type rocker boxes fit the later /7 airheads?

Well, while they do share the same valve cover gasket, the /2 cover is about 1/2" shallower, so I'm guessing there won't be enough room for the rockers. On the other hand, the /5 valve covers would work.

I'm no expert, but if you take a photograph of the post you're posting on the forum and then post the photograph of that post in the post you just posted isn't there a risk of damaging the space time continuum?

Not if you use the /5 valve covers. They cover all models.

 "Never argue with a fool, onlookers might not be able to tell the difference." Just kidding, and if I did indeed tear the fabric of space time, it's really no problem: I have a roll of one sided quantum string reinforced membrane uh... duck tape...

Thanks for the replies- but aren't the /5 rocker boxes much the same as the /6's?

Yep, same thing, different year. At least BMW got that part right...

OK, on a slightly different note but concerning the same area, is there an advantage to be had by polishing the rockers? Are there areas that could be ground down/chase casting and polish? I can only think that polishing would aid in making the rockers smooth and oil would move better over them. Am I missing something?

There ain't much oil flow in there to speed up.
