RS Front brakes/ a life lesson

Long story short, front brakes have had a binding "issue" for @ 3.5 years now. Front master was leaking & pitted so I replaced w/ a 14mm unit in like new condition. When that didn't solve the problem I repeatedly dismantled & cleaned the unit & bled the system.Worked for a while, then binding again. More bleeding, etc. I could do it in the dark at this point.
Last year I decided the brake lines must be the issue, naturally, so I replaced them. Worked for a while, then binding again. I could service the system in the dark & blinfolded now.

But the brakes were free when stored last Fall.

Today I removed the tarp and.....wait for it.....front brakes binding. So, dismantle the master, flush & clean but prior to reassembly I stopped to consider the situation. Part of the binding was that the brake lever was not returning crisply. Could it be? Yes it was, the pin the lever rides on was fairly corroded preventing the lever itself from moving freely.

Nothing like taking the most complicated route first. Repeatedly.

Now, I notice the brakes on the /7 are binding as well...

Not to preach BUT, for everything that can come apart -
Understand, take apart, clean, lube, assemble, adjust.
Corny I know, but there is a reason it is called "Preventive Maintenance".

On an R90S, I had one of the calipers binding. Found pitting and corrosion on the piston. Replaced the piston and seal and all was good.
