Kauai, my favorite island. I also like the big Island as well Tim. I have fond memories of going to the green sand beach.

I'm sure you realise, the deep valleys seen in that video are the result of erosion. Kauai is estimated to be over 5 million years old. In this timeline, that it would take this lush island paradise another 2-3 million years to erode down to an atoll suitable only for seabirds: http://teok.com/timeline.html The earths crust is constantly rearranging itself. It remains to be seen if any of humanities constructs survive the cut. It would take a dry, geologically stable area like, say, Australia? You guys have some remnants of the early earths crust in your geology, if I am not mistaken.
