signal relay

Post by twist »

wow! anyone else finding the site disrupted? I would like to know if it's possible to test the turn signal relay from a '77 R100? Is there a turn signal relay available from another source other than BMW? Very expensive those new turn signal relays!

I replaced mine with generic one from NAPA. I can't remember the # for it though. It was a three prong one so I think I elimanated the brown wire. Someone here on forum knows the #. Cost about $5.00.
Yes, yesterday I kept getting a message saying the site was suspended or something like that.

I found the #. It is NF550. You will have to remove the connectors from the block, then plug them into the flasher using some heat shrink. ThenI just zip tied it to the old flasher mount.

thank you for that! $95.00 is a tad steep for a flasher me thinks. Do you know if the stock flasher can be tested?

Actually you can take it apart. When I took mine apart I was able to get it to work with some fiddling but it would only work for awhile. I would unplug it and make sure you are getting power to it first. I did a search and came up with site that explains better than myself.
