Dash board lights

Holy Dash board lights, I've had my R100RS for 18 months now and the spedo/tach lights have
NEVER worked. I have opened the casing up checked the bulbs, Never worked. Does anyone have a
I.D. what happened, Or Do I need to light a candle and say a Novena Tomorrow at Church.

In my excitement I forgot to say that Last night, On the way home from Newberg, NY I looked down
and my Spedo/Tach lights were on. Never seen before in 18 months of ownership

What year is your RS? If this happened on my '84, I'd check/clean the following....instrument cluster wiring plug, circuit board bulb tangs, bulbs.
A few years ago, my /7 instrument cluster circuit board started to delaminate (they do break down over time). A replacement ran about 60 bucks. All new bulbs about 20.
